About us

Portsmouth Counselling Service is a team of Counsellors and Psychotherapists that are committed to providing low cost access to Psychological therapies for residents in Portsmouth. All our counsellors volunteer their time and are either qualified or near to qualifying and have been approved by their University as ready to undertake counselling work. All counsellors are registered with the BACP or UKCP and adhere to rigorous professional codes of conduct.

Our counsellors receive regular individual clinical supervision as well as group supervision and regular training.

We accept referrals from most major organisations such as GP’s, Colleges, Health Visitors and Employers but importantly people are able to refer themselves. Check out ‘Is Counselling Right For You’ and contact us using the form on our contact page.
